In order to enter the Commonwealth of New Bayswater as a foreign citizen, you will need a visa.

There are two types of visas available, day time and night time. Visas can be secured online. Otherwise you can go to the Embassy, worth a visit in it’s own right, and get a visa there.

Day time visas are free and are valid from 10am-5pm. Night time visas cost $10 Australian, and are valid from 5-10pm.

Downtown is located next to the East Street Jetty car park, Fremantle.

Public Works & Embassy

The Public Works and Embassy is down the stairs from Tuckfield Park, Fremantle and behind the Naval Store.

The Inverted Museum of History

The Inverted Museum Of History is adjacent to the corner of Blackwall Reach Parade and Kent Street, Bicton.

Event information:

For night sessions, bring warm clothes, for day sessions, a hat and sun protection.

Weather:

There is some shelter available, although limited. We recommend bringing a hat for day sessions, and warm clothes for night sessions.

Latecomers:

There are no lockouts, although be sure to pick up your visa prior to visiting!

Facilities: Toilets (including accessible toilets) are available at Downtown and the Inverted Museum of History, and in the Naval Store next to the Embassy.

Town of East Fremantle, Public Car Park No 4

245 Queen Victoria Street Car Park (North Fremantle)

Trains:

Take the Fremantle Line to North Fremantle or Fremantle Station, from which you can walk (approx. 20 minutes) or catch a bus to the location.

Buses:

From Fremantle Station: Catch the 910 bus to stop 10438, from which it is a short walk down to the river shore or the Naval Store.

From Canning Bridge: Catch the 910 bus to stop 11968, from which it is a short walk down to the river shore or the Naval Store.

From North Fremantle: Catch the 103/999 bus to Stop 10423, and take the stairs down to Beach St or cross the road and head to the Naval Store.

The Museum of Inverted History:

Parking:

There is a nearby Car Park located on Blackwall Reach Parade.

Public Transport:

From Fremantle Station, catch the 910 Bus to Stop No. 10438, from which it is a 13 minute walk to the Museum of Inverted History. Alternatively, catch the 148 Bus to Stop No. 10439, and walk for 9 minutes.

From Canning Bridge Station, catch the 910 Bus to Stop No. 11968, from which it is a 20 minute walk to the Museum of Inverted History. Alternatively, catch the 148 Bus to Stop No. 11968, and walk for 9 minutes.

The Commonwealth of New Bayswater territories and buildings  are all accessible, with parking nearby at the following locations.

The locations themselves include paved and grassed areas with some uneven flooring.

Parking:

Downtown: Accessible parking is available at East Street Jetty Car Park, which is a short walk (50m) to the event area.

The Inverted Museum of History: Accessible parking is available at the corner of Blackwall Reach Parade and Kent Street, Bicton. The event area is a short walk (100m) along a footpath and grassed area.

Public Works and Embassy: parking and ramp access from Tuckfield Oval Parkland, Fremantle. The event area is accessed down a ramp and a footpath, a 180m walk.
